Overhanging balconies and large openings change the beam layout, so decide early. The gate and parking position also depend on which street you enter from.
Elevation and Structure Go Together
It is tempting to design the front first and ask the engineer to make it stand up later. That order leads to compromises. We prefer to agree the elevation, the column grid and the beam layout in one pass, so the front you like does not fight the structure that holds it up. Large glass areas, cantilevers and double-height spaces are all possible, but each has a cost and a structural requirement.
